At the two highest floors of De Zalmhaven – Rotterdam’s iconic new tower and the tallest in the Benelux – we will be opening our 5th location at the end of 2024! We are proud of this venue, located in the heart of the city and offering a 360° view over the stunning skyline of Rotterdam.
Our mission: to create a premium restaurant and cocktail bar experience, and to provide visitors with an unforgettable experience on the top floors of the building.

With the opening of this second tower location in Rotterdam, alongside the Euromast, we are looking for a Bar Team Leader to help bring this vision to life.

About the Role:

As Bar Team Leader, you are not only responsible for leading and coaching the team, but you are also actively present on the floor. You work hands-on behind the bar and in the venue, lead by example, and ensure smooth and seamless service. Your presence is visible, inspiring, and motivating to the entire team.

You ensure every guest has an outstanding experience and are constantly working with your colleagues to enhance our hospitality.

Your Responsibilities:

• Actively working during service, with a focus on quality, experience, and pace;

• Daily leadership and coaching of the bar team;

• Creating a professional and welcoming atmosphere behind the bar and on the floor;

• Ensuring a smooth and guest-focused operation;

• Coordinating mise-en-place, stock, and preparation for the bar;

• Safeguarding the quality, presentation, and consistency of drinks and cocktails;

• Ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and HACCP regulations;

• Contributing ideas to improve service, the drinks menu, and the overall guest experience.

Your Profile:

To be successful as a Bar Team Leader in this unique setting, you bring several years of hospitality experience, including responsibility for opening and/or closing shifts.

You recognize yourself in the following profile:

• At least 2–4 years of hospitality experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role;

• Strong experience behind the bar, with additional experience in fine dining, hotels, or event venues;

• Guest-oriented, stress-resistant, and a true motivator;

• Available 32–38 hours per week and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays;

• Fluent in both Dutch and English;

• Knowledge of wine and cocktails is a plus.
